From the side, its relief becomes more pronounced, revealing a sculptural depth that changes with the position of the viewer. The deep black finish intensifies this relationship with light, allowing fine highlights to move across the rounded surfaces while shadow gathers inside the cavities.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe sculpture is carved in wood and finished in black to strengthen the monolithic character of the relief while preserving the subtle grain and traces of handwork. Designed by architect Edoardo Cavallaro, Strata Black is made in Italy in collaboration with Angelo, an artisan with more than fifty years of experience in woodworking.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eEach sculpture is made to order. After the initial carving process, every contour and recess is refined by hand with chisels, allowing the surface to retain the subtle traces of craftsmanship while preserving the clarity of its depth.
