Forest Ash

Forest Ash is a round wall sculpture inspired by the vertical rhythm of a forest. The carved relief recalls trunks and branches seen through an architectural lens, where natural movement becomes a calm pattern of lines, depth, and shadow.

The design is built around the idea of walking through a dense landscape. Some lines feel closer, others fade back, like layers of trees overlapping in perspective. From a distance the sculpture reads as minimal and quiet. Up close, the carving reveals a richer structure, with curves that tighten and open, creating a sense of flow without losing balance.

As natural light changes throughout the day, the relief transforms continuously. Morning light highlights the outer ridges, while softer evening light deepens the shadows and makes the surface feel more immersive. This shifting shadow play is part of the piece, not an effect added later.

Designed by an architect and handcrafted in Italy, each piece is made with the mastery of an artisan with more than 50 years of experience in fine woodworking. We work with carefully selected ash and refine the carving and finishing by hand, so every sculpture remains precise, tactile, and unique.

Choose your finish and size from the dropdown. The brown finish highlights the warmth of ash and the softness of the carving. The black finish increases contrast and gives the relief a more graphic, architectural presence.
